- **Away Handoff.** Press ⌃⌥⌘H on your Mac as you step away and your iPhone gets a notification. Tap it and Apperture opens straight to the window you were in. Turn it on when you pair, or from a Mac's long-press menu in the host list.
- **Search the app switcher.** A search field at the bottom of the switcher filters running apps as you type. Return opens the first match.
- **Open apps that aren't running.** Installed apps that match your search appear in a Not Running section. Tap one and the Mac opens it, waits for its window, and starts streaming.
- **Resize from the phone.** Resize… in the gear menu shows a live silhouette of how the Mac window will fit your screen. Drag the edges, or tap Fit to Phone. Apperture can remember the size for next time, and Reset puts the window back.
- **Pair by pasting.** If you can't scan the QR, paste the code from the Mac's pairing sheet.
- **Xcode 27 Device Hub.** Simulators running inside Device Hub stream like the standalone Simulator: the device is cropped out of the stage, its controls (Home, Rotate, Screenshot and the rest) sit on a pill under the screen, and you can switch between booted simulators from the phone.
- **Liquid Glass** now fully supported on iOS 26 and higher. Better UI interactions everywhere.
- **Support for iPhone Duo:** The device this app was made for! Oh wow, we can't wait!
- **Typing:** terminals and editors no longer recenter the view on every keypress, and the expanded keyboard row no longer hides the bottom of the window.
- **Clearer launch feedback** when an app can't be opened, has no window, or runs in the background.
- Fixed swallowed taps in the switcher, a wrapping status line in the gear menu, and log header alignment.
- **Handoff shortcut.** ⌃⌥⌘H (change it in Settings → Away Handoff) sends the front window to your paired iPhones and starts streaming it right away, so it's ready by the time you pick up your phone.
- **New name.** The Mac app is now Apperture Host. Your pairings, permissions and settings carry over.
- **Window resizing and remembered sizes.** Honors resize requests from the phone, remembers sizes you asked to keep, and restores original sizes when the last device disconnects or the app quits. Both are preferences.
- **Launches apps** at the phone's request and follows them to their first window.
- **Follows window swaps.** An app that replaces its window while opening, like Outlook's splash screen, no longer interrupts the stream.
- **Copy Code** button in the pairing sheet.
- **Xcode 27 Device Hub support.** Finds device windows inside Device Hub, knocks out the stage around the device so the phone draws its own background, and relays the Device Hub controls and simulator selection.
- Sends each app icon once per connection instead of on every refresh.
