Keep the procedural project available
Reach Houdini on your Mac to inspect the node network and scene you left open. Read a parameter, review a simulation setup, or check a render while the Mac keeps the project assets and caches available.
- Inspect node networks and parameters
- Review simulation and cache settings
- Check render progress
Use Houdini on iPad
The iPad gives node networks and the viewport more space. It is useful for reviewing a procedural setup with its parameters visible in the same Mac session.

Can I use Houdini on my iPhone or iPad with Apperture?
Yes — by streaming Houdini from your Mac with Apperture. The desktop app runs on your Mac; your iPhone or iPad displays its window and sends remote input back. You need a reachable, awake Mac with Houdini installed, the free Apperture Mac host, and the Apperture app on your iPhone or iPad.
Simulations and rendering continue to use your Mac and Houdini configuration. A remote connection does not add compute capacity or change your license. Houdini product information.
